Program Overview

The WSB Mentorship Program is designed to support adults seeking employment through structured, one-on-one mentoring relationships. The program pairs mentors and mentees based on shared goals and areas of interest to encourage sustainable growth, confidence, and career development.

Goals

· Build job-readiness skills

· Develop personal and professional confidence

· Support long-term sustainable independence

· Networking

Mentee Requirements

· Be actively enrolled in a Vocational Training Program at World Services for the Blind.

· Must have access to a virtual meeting platform, such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams (FaceTime is not permitted)

· Meet and maintain the Good Standing Requirements as outlined in the Client Manual.

· Review, sign, and follow the Mentorship Agreement included in the Mentorship Application, including all expectations stated within it.

· Submit your resume along with a letter of recommendation from a professional source—such as an instructor, case manager, VR counselor, or any other professional—to mentorship@wsblind.org.

If you are interested in applying for the Mentorship program as a potential mentee, please fill out and sign the WSB Mentee Application & Agreement form

Once all required information and documentation are received, the Mentorship Team will review them. Upon approval, a mentor will be assigned, along with a start date. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact mentorship@wsblind.org or call 501-664-7100.
