Eric, CEO & President

Eric Yarberry is the President and CEO of World Services for the Blind (WSB), a nonprofit empowering individuals who are blind or visually impaired to achieve sustainable independence. He brings over a decade of experience working with blind youth and adults, along with lived experience as a person with a visual impairment. As WSB nears 80 years of service, Eric and his team strive to lead the industry in world-class training and career connections.

A native Arkansan, Eric holds a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Professional and Technical Writing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has positioned WSB as a national leader in workforce development by aligning programs with industry-recognized certifications.

In 2025, he was named one of Arkansas Business’s 40 Under 40 for his impact on workforce and community development. He champions the strengths of blind professionals and builds partnerships that advance employment opportunities.

Eric volunteers as Service Chair for Rotary Club 99, Treasurer of the Arkansas School for the Blind Alumni Association, and with AER. He lives in Little Rock with his wife, Emily, and his Leader Dog, Hank.

Heather, Director of Education and Training

Prior to stepping into her current role, Heather served WSB clients as an Assistive Technology Instructor. Heather became interested in this field after her own vision loss in late 2018. She first came to WSB as a client in April 2021 and completed WSB’s Assistive Technology Instructor program. Prior to losing her vision, Heather worked as a prosecutor for over nine years in Tennessee. She specialized in homicide, child abuse, and sexual crimes prosecutions. Since beginning her career in rehabilitation services, Heather has earned her CPACC certification. Heather is actively involved in the Arkansas chapter of AER and serves on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Lions Eye Bank Foundation. Heather enjoys her current role at WSB and looks forward to bringing her advocacy skills to the table for WSB clients.
